Each year on the last Wednesday of February, Pink Shirt Day is celebrated! The SK’s learned of the importance of standing up to bullying, and being kind to others. Each child completed their activity making a promise or sharing a message about what they learned on Pink Shirt Day.

If I Had a Penguin Language Arts
Inspired by the novel Mr. Popper’s Penguins, the Grade One students brainstormed what they would do if they had a penguin for a pet for a Writer’s Workshop activity. They then created some plasticine art pieces to connect with their writing.
