To start the year off on the right foot, the Grade 2 students chose a word goal. They will do their best to make choices that exemplify these words.

The JK students have jumped right into their Apples and Pumpkins unit of inquiry. They harvested sprouts in the classroom and tried them with the morning snack. They also went on a nature walk to explore how the seasons are changing and to look at all of the different leaves they could find.

It’s the beginning of the school year, and the Grade One class is building their classroom community with some getting-to-know-you activities including a summer artifact share, morning circle games, a ‘Someone Who’ scavenger hunt, ‘Who We Are’ shoebox presentations, and a self-portrait art activity connected to our ‘Name Game’ unit. 

In SK French, students have been discussing families. They completed their own houses and are working on presenting their family members to the class.
