Grade Four students spent the day at Variety Village last week. The learning intention was to experience sports from the perspective of someone with a disability/different ability. The games were challenging, but the students came away with a new appreciation of how people do things differently and had lots of fun.

Screen Free Day
SBS ended Earth Week with a Screen Free Day. All the smart boards, computers and iPads were turned off for the day. Students and staff enjoyed the break from technology! A couple of classes went to the park for their sit spot and conducted some mindfulness and reflection. A great initiative from the Green Team.
Pollinator garden for Earth Week
For Earth Week students planted a pollinator garden to support and protect pollinators like birds, bees, and butterflies. We look forward to watching our garden grow! Toronto Community Clean Up
Happy Earth Day! Today SBS students participated in the Toronto Community Clean Up. The students cleaned up various local parks and playgrounds. Together we collected 10 lbs of recycling and 15 lbs of garbage. Way to go Sunnybrook!
