Our Grade 6 class recently wrapped up their Religion Unit, turning back the clock by exclusively using printed materials for their research—no modern gadgets in sight. Through their exploration, students created thoughtful books filled with symbolic representations and meticulous penmanship, reflecting their deep dive into the heart of various world religions. In Arts, their journey continued with the study of Norval Morrisseau, an Anishinaabe artist, weaving the 4 R’s—Respect, Relationships, Responsibility, and Reciprocity—into their understanding of religious diversity and beauty. This approach not only honored the rich tapestry of global beliefs but also highlighted the timeless value of connecting with knowledge through the tangible pages of printed materials.
