April is Poetry Month! To celebrate, in library (where we LOVE poetry!), we are exploring poems and having fun with language. The grade 4s kicked us off by experimenting with “Poem Catchers.” Inspired by Leila Chatti’s clever poem “Cootie Catcher” (see picture), we created our own “Poem Catchers” to help us “catch” poems, part by chance, part by design – all for delight!
April 16th will be “Poem in Your Pocket Day” at Sunnybrook School! We’re getting ready by sharing, creating and “catching” fantastic poems together.
