In JK, SK, GR 1 and GR 2 library this term we’ve been taking part in the BLUE SPRUCE award contest – part of the Ontario Library Association’s annual “Forest of Reading” program (see www.forestofreading.com for more information). This means we’ve been gradually reading, thinking about and voting on 10 new picture books by Canadian authors/illustrators.
Here are some pictures of our amazing JK and GR 2 voters. Each of the students in the four classes will tally and vote for their favourite book individually at SBS in April, and the final award, after a province-wide vote, will be announced in May!
