The junior French room has been exciting leading up to the holidays! We recently finished our numbers unit and have been working on colors! The students have enjoyed spying around the room and school pointing out the French colors they know. While we work on colors, we have also been revising numbers to solidify that knowledge. The JKs are pictured here in their “human number line”. Each student was given a number and were instructed to line up in order and call out the number en français.
This month in the SK French room we have been studying animals! From baby animals, to grown up animals, silly animal noises, and expressing our favorite animals, the SKs have been having a blast. They are pictured here with their drawings of their favourite animals which they got to share with the class and practice their French presentation skills.
Outside of practicing for the Winter Concert and learning French phonetics, the Grade 1 French class have been learning about toys this month. Through vocabulary practice, charades, I spy, and of course playing the students have learned a lot! To finish the unit, the class were instructed to dream up their own brand new toy and draw it to present to the class. Bravo les élèves!
