While each grade is focusing on their own units, grammar and discussions, sometimes, we can all learn together, and each take away something unique. Recently, all of the students in the Senior French Studio took turns reading the first chapter of the classic French Novel, "Le Petit Prince", both in French and in English. In this chapter, we meet the pilot and discover his views on adults and art. Each class discussed their thoughts on the beginning and made predictions as to what the story would be about, based on what they read. Some highlights include:
He might understand that certain people see things in certain ways, and then become an artist.

I think that the man will meet up with the little prince, and the little prince will understand the man.

(I think) that he turns into an elephant.

Maybe the man’s art will be understood by one person someday.

I think that he is going to be a Prince of boa constrictors, or he becomes a prince of the sky.
