The Grade 4s are joining in on Manie Musicale this year – a global music competition, styled after March Madness, with voting and eliminations. French musicians from Canada to Vietnam to the Ivory Coast are competing to be this year’s favourite song.
Each week, we will choose between 2 songs to determine who moves onto the next round, until Sunnybrook crowns their victor in June. Alongside the Grade 5 & 6 classes, we will compare, contrast, analyze and discuss the merits of each entry, using the lyrics and language to learn more about French grammar, pronunciation, culture and identity around the world.
